You do all these things, and sometimes lose sight of what truly matters to your kids. You live wishing you did better for your kids, passing those values, those lessons you have learned from life, those priceless words you know you should tell them to make the needed difference.

But it’s never too late, never too late to pour your heart into your kids, never too late to make them know how much you feel about them and how you think about life. For death may knock at your door at any time and your greatest regret on your death bed maybe, not relating your mind to your kids.

The first on the list of the things to tell your kids before you die is I Love You. No other person should your kids hear those words more than you. Let those words be something they hear from often and show them that you mean them.

If you have to say it every day, do so. Do not just say it, let them know that you truly care for them. By the sacrifices you make and the actions, you display Let your life display your love.

Love is paramount to your kids. In a world that is tough and full of pain, betrayal, hurt, your kids knowing that you love them can be the best thing they need to scale through life.

Make them know that you are sorry for making them feel bad or hurting their feelings. It may be that you had to leave them early in life, or you were divorced from your partner and were not there every time, or you and your kid quarreled because of different opinions.

Whatever be the case, it is good to apologize and make them know that you never meant to hurt their feelings Kids are not the only ones at fault, sometimes we adults get things wrong as well. Setting bad examples, taking wrong actions, or doing something that can change the life of your kids.

Be mature enough to say I’m sorry, especially when you see that you and your kids are not in a good relationship together. On your death bed, do you want to hold a grudge with the one you bore to this world? I don’t think so. When you can say, sorry, instead of been proud because you are the parent, It makes your kids more humble. And they will readily say I’m sorry too.

Whether your kid brings in a trophy home every season or not, let him know how much you believe in him. And that you are proud of him. Make him know that no matter what despite the mistakes, or errors, that you know that in the end, he will become a great person.

Then, they can reach their peak because you create an environment of motivation, encouragement, and trust. So instead of harping on their failures, making comparisons, and pressuring them to do what they do not want to. Make them feel loved and be supportive.

Just call on God, with the whole of your heart and you will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You see the future, a hope, you will see a bright light and he better beginning. This can bring much-needed assurance for your child when you depart this world.

8.  Live A Simple Life

Life is full of so many things that would attract you. Cars, money, people. They are a means to themselves, not the end to the means. My love. These things can mar you if you solely focus on them.

My dear Child, live a simple life. Do not desire so many things that will choke you in the process. Instead, examine your choices. Go for those things that give you peace.

Do not strive so hard to acquire material things. Instead of possessions, find true and lasting relationships. Put smiles on people’s faces, never put your happiness on the things you see or your possessions. Those things do not last. Instead, aim higher to build. And better yourself by creating, loving, and meaningful relationship. Set high goals but most importantly keep things simple.

 

9.  Plan Early

Another thing you should tell your kid before you die is this. My dear, it is so easy to get carried away, and want to enjoy life. But the difficult thing is that to enjoy those things you need to work hard for it.

That is why you should plan early. Do not waste your time now make every moment count. The earlier you achieve, the easier life becomes for you. If you are older before you start thinking of building a life, life becomes triple difficult and more stressful.

Your health is super important and the actions you take every day determines your health in the long run. So be conscious of your health. Leave right, eat right exercise.
